Production

Since 1630 there has been a tradition of paper production in Ober-Schmitten. In 1828 Spezialpapierfabrik was founded marking the beginning of a continuous upward trend. Already in 1890 our papermill was operating with one high productive paper machine.

Starting with the production of Glassine in the 20th century the company developed extremely thin high-density papers for capacitors. In the meantime machine capacities have been consistently extended an modernised in all areas. As a result, in ca-operation with our research and development department, we can now produce the corresponding special paper for each and every application.
